DC College Tour Reflection

This was the first time I’ve been to Washington DC. So far it has been a great experience coming here. The plane rides on Southwest Airlines were fun. The plane rides weren’t that long so that was another plus on this trip.So far, in Washington DC we visited the MLK and Lincoln monuments. Different  sceneries like the Washington Monument and the big reflection pool were great to experience. In reading the quotes on the MLK memorial to standing where MLK announced the “I have a dream” speech. This made me imagine what it was like to see all of those people in support of the both the civil rights movement and his speech. I tried to picture what the tension was like back then.Thanks  Southwest Airlines for sponsoring this college tour! I’m looking forward to the Hampton trip today.
