“Achieve Excellence through Pride and Performance.” Texas ’18

We left Houston at 8:40 on our way to Wiley College in Marshall, Texas. Wiley college is a Historical Black College whose motto is:

“Achieve Excellence through Pride and Performance.”

Though a small college, their debate team has beat larger schools like Harvard University

When we finally reached Wiley’s campus, the campus it was beautiful, it reminded me a lot of the Spellmans campus. It’s brick halls and the renovated buildings added a nice touch to the feel of the campus.

Simone and Te’Leah who attend Wiley College, were our excellent tour guides; they took us around the school,  where we met different professors and went into different classrooms at Wiley College. We were able to meet counselors and advisers who talked to Choyanna and answers her questions about  adjusting to Wiley ,Financial Aid, and the Bridge program (a summer program to receive college credits). Overall, seeing Wiley even though I wont be attending here, made me excited for my own experience on my campus.
